Do I have to be Filipino to join?

What a great question! Even though we are a club that celebrates the Filipino culture and heritage, you do not have to be Filipino to join or be a part of E-Board. We do not discriminate against race, sexual orientation, age, gender, religion, veteran status, or disability.

 

How much are dues?

 

The rate of FASA dues are set each semester by their respective E-board. Do not worry though, because you will always receive a lot out of your FASA dues! If you are not able to pay it in full, please contact the Treasurer for payment plans.



What is there to do in FASA?

 

There are a lot of activities and socials during each semester of FASA! Your FASA experience is what you make it. If you are very active in our organization, you will have fun! Examples of socials we do include: cookouts, karaoke nights, eating out, themed parties, scavenger hunts, and etc. If you are into the cultural aspect of FASA we hold language (Tagalog) workshops and cultural discussions during meetings. Also if you are into sports, we are involved with on campus intramural sports! 

 

Are there any benefits to joining FASA?

 

When you join FASA and go to our events, you are guaranteed to meet new people. If you are an incoming freshmen or transfer student from another state - joining FASA is a great way to make friends! As a part of the networking experience you may meet people in your same major which will also help you out later in your college career!
